The Academy is dedicated to providing the highest level of educational experience with a variety of courses and multiple delivery systems. Our goal is to establish relationships with all of our clients. We are committed to helping professionals and career oriented people with ongoing educational needs.

Policies and Procedures:

The Academy will not base course fees, entrance standards or standards for successful completion of a course on a student’s race, color, sex, religion, national origin, familial status or disability.

Prerequisites:

Students are required to have access to a personal computer for all CD & Internet courses. The Academy may have an on-site computer available for student use on a first come, first serve basis. Students are required to reserve time in advance. 

Admission:

 Students must pay tuition in full upon registration. Full tuition must be paid in advance for all CD Rom Disks and on line classes. Any returned checks will incur a $30. N.S.F. charge.

Attendance Requirements:

Live Lecture: Students must be punctual and attend all clock hours necessary to complete the course. Chronic tardiness may be cause for dismissal by school.

CD & On line: Students must satisfy class requirements, necessary number of hours, and, if required, pass an examination approved by the Department of Licensing. Students enrolled in Internet and CD courses have 12 months from the date of registration to complete the program.  Extensions due to illness or undue hardship may be considered on a per case basis.

The State of Washington requires 50 minutes per hour of "seat time"to receive clock hours.

Standard of Progress:

Live Lecture: Students must satisfy class requirements, necessary number of hours and if required, pass an examination approved by the The Department of Licensing.

CD & On line: The student must meet the established criteria in order to pass the quizzes at the end of each lesson.  There are at least 90 questions built into each randomized quiz book.  The student receives 25 questions.  If he/she receives at least 80% correct, then the movement is forward to the next lesson.  If the criteria are not reached, another series of 25 randomized questions is selected by the software and presented to the student.  This scenario is repeated until the criteria are met.

Instructor Assistance:

Should you have any questions regarding the course content, an instructor will be glad to assist you and can be reached by phone between 9am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday with the exception of holidays.  Assistance is also available via email.

Refund policy:

For Live Lecture: A student will be entitled to a full refund if a cancellation notice is received in writing no later than 1:00 P.M. one week prior to the date of the class.

 For CD courses & Internet Classes

A student will be given a refund of tuition paid (minus 5% administration fee) within 10 days of purchase and 25% within 30 days of purchase. No refunds after 30 days. 

Refund conditions:

The student has not logged onto On-line or CD course.

The course material must be returned unopened or in “like new” condition to The Academy.

A refund will be issued upon receipt of properly returned materials.

 

Dismissal by school:

The Academy reserves the right to terminate a student for no payment, or any behavior or conduct disruptive to the school or its students. .

 

Privacy Policy:

The Academy will not sell, lease or exchange your personal information with any other entity.  This means The Academy will not provide your name, phone number address, or any other personal information with any outside third party.
